Polished items that we commonly stock Page 1 (spheres) | Page 2 (the rest) Apart from spheres and eggs we produce a massive assortment of other polished items. We do not make most items on an ongoing basis so the output of our factory in Madagascar is always changing depending on what rough material we have managed to get and what items are in demand at any given time. It is pretty much the same for all the little home industries that we support in Madagascar. You will have to keep an eye on our stock list to see exactly what polished items we have in stock at any given time This page will give you an idea of the types of polished items we produce but it is by no means a complete list.
We cut and polish slabs and slices of just about everything as it becomes available. The minerals that we most commonly cut and polish in this way are labradorite and a selection of various jaspers and agates including the wildly popular ocean/orbicular jasper.

These are unique double sided cabochons, that are either oval or tear drop shaped. Only the very best AAA grade clear quartz is used, but some times we also use smokey quartz or gel rose quartz.
Some rocks and minerals occur naturally in nodules or geodes that who's natural beauty is enhanced by polishing. The minerals that we most commonly polish this way are carnelian and various agates. Some times amethyst geodes as well.
Celestite geode matrix is strontium based and is therefore very heavy. In the event of there being too much matrix we will trim it away and form the geode into an egg or sphere shape. This way, what you receive is almost pure celestite crystal formed into an aesthetically pleasing shape.
We are not primarily facet stone dealers although we

We often cut pyramids from quartz rock Due to the fact that our pyramids, like all of our other polished rock items, are cut an polished by hand, and considering the primitive equipment available in Madagascar - our pyramids are seldom very large. This is due to the points breaking during the manufacture process and the pyramid becoming progressively smaller and smaller. A piece that started out as a large chunk of rough material may only yield a small pyramid at the end of the polishing process. |
